5 Steps To Help Your Business Thrive (No Matter What)

Running a business or flying high in a career true to your heart is guaranteed to offer you a path of personal and professional growth like no other. Some days you’re on top of the world and then there are those moments when it might feel like it’s all going to pot.

When I first set up my business 10+ years ago I didn’t really know where to begin. I was obsessed with what everyone else was doing and whether there was even a space for me(?). It’s hard to believe my thinking was so limited!

Here are five top tips to help you stay a happy bunny in your career and business (it is Easter after all!).

1)    Focus.

What are you focusing on? Do you pay attention to how far you’ve come or the gap between where you are and where you want to be? When you celebrate your progress it builds confidence and gives you fuel for the next stage.

When you focus on the distance between where you are now and where you want to be (unless it’s immediately within your grasp), it can feel like you’re not getting anywhere.

Focus on your success and keep taking action, no matter how small.

2)    Stop comparing yourself to others.

What other people in your industry offer, charge or change is none of your business.

While it’s useful to see what’s out there and identify new opportunities, it’s far more progressive to put that energy into you, your business, and serving your clients or customers.

Nobody listens like I do, or coaches like I do or gets the results that I do.

Don’t compare; unless you’re 120 years old there will always be someone with more experience or who seems to be ahead of the game!

3)    Recognise that you are unique.

Irrespective of your business, only you can offer what you offer in the way that you offer it!

Just like #2, you need to recognise that you are the unique selling proposition in your business.

4)    Make your inner dialogue a friend not a foe.

If something doesn’t go according to plan notice your self-talk. What tone are you using?

Is it aggressive? Is it critical?

What would feel more supportive?

Change your self-talk and enjoy the difference it makes when you’re being offered a carrot instead of relentlessly beaten with a stick!!

5)    Know at every new level there is a new devil.

If you’re here reading this, chances are you’re already highly successful at what you do, but that doesn’t mean you don’t still get a bit freaked out by the next big deal you’re working on!

It can be scary, it can be exhilarating, and most of all it is what you make it. If you have your mind set on success and are prepared to learn as you go the whole experience is a lot more beneficial. It’s often said that those who succeed simply fail faster (and learn). What are you waiting for?

When you hop into a better mindset (see what I did there? 🐇), you’ll produce better services or results for your clients and that’s what it’s all about. Your success is 80% mindset and 20% skill or strategy, if you’d love my professional support through hypnotherapy or coaching to get out of your own way and take your business to the next level get in touch, or why not check out how easily we can work together.
